Auditions went very well, and we've already had our mandatory parent meeting. At that meeting Mr. Hensely introduced his staff: Mrs. Huckfeldt is returning for costumes, Phyllis Balagnia is acting as assistant director, and Zoe Lee - a student - is our choreographer. Mr. Hensley handed out contract for each student. They are to be signed and turned in with a check for theatre fees ($75) by October 13th. Students (and parents) were able to sign up to purchase a HBND hoodie. Those are $30 each, and must be ordered by THIS FRIDAY! (9/15.) Email Mr. Hensley with your order and just send a check to school. LSHS Theatre Parents president Kelly Gerding spoke to parents about ways to help out. If your kid is in theatre in any way - YOU are a theatre parent, and we need you! Gerding also explained the "Shout Outs" for the performance program. These are like ads (but don't count toward ad sales - this is a fundraiser.) You can show a picture and write words of encouragement on the Shout Out. You can order these (and see examples) online - click here. Mr. Hensley said he planned to put out a rehearsal schedule in Google classroom. You can find that here.
